Position description:
Responsible for achieving the Performance Team Sales and Gross Profit Objectives by selling PRA’s outstanding service to corporate and association clients. Is responsible for developing a client base, managing Performance Team of Account Managers, and designing events.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Responsible for developing, selling, and managing a client base through leads from assigned markets, hoteliers, cold calls, referrals, etc.
- Oversees team of Account Manager(s) and Sales Assistant(s) to ensure completion of program development and other team projects.
- Ensure that all proposals and other sales correspondence is correct, proofed, and meets client’s needs and budget.
- Responsible for finalizing and “closing” program contracts with clients, arranging for deposit and signed program summary.
- Responsible for qualifying leads and developing program ideas for
leads.
Our ideal candidate should possess strong organizational abilities, excellent sales and client service skills, and leadership skills. The National Sales Manager is an integral part of our successful and creative sales team. Our successful candidate must have at least 5 or more years experience in sales, preferably in a DMC, incentive travel, event management or related field. A college degree in Business Management, Marketing or related degree is helpful. Must have knowledge of program design and development, from inception through contract. Proven ability to meet sales goals consistently through lead development, cold calling, and client development.
Must be familiar with San Diego venues and live in the San Diego area. No relocation.
