Activities

Biking or Rollerblading at the Beach

One of the best ways to soak up the California sun -- and the California experience -- is to explore this exciting area on a bicycle or rollerblades! This tour begins in scenic Santa Monica, and if your guests are looking for the seaside way of life they’ll find it here, where everything is enjoyed outdoors. The second half of this exciting tour focuses on the neighboring community of Venice. Venice offers a continuous fanfare of street performers along the city’s popular Oceanfront Walk, with comedians, jugglers, roller-skaters, mimes and dancers all competing for your interest. There’s even Muscle Beach, an outdoor body-building club.

Secrets Of The Sea Coast Walk

Guests will enjoy a nature hike through the spectacular Malibu beach area of Point Dume, led by Doug Thompson, a noted naturalist, expedition leader, writer, lecturer, film producer, and photojournalist. Whether your guests are intrigued by the prospect of learning about the ecosystems of the earth’s oceans and shores, or simply interested in an invigorating afternoon of sea and sun, they’re sure to enjoy themselves on this tour as they witness firsthand all the natural glamour that Southern California has to offer!

Wildside

Enjoy an afternoon with a guided hike in the Santa Monica Mountains. A variety of trails are available – from easy and flat to strenuous with 1000’ elevation gain and can be tailored based on the group. The panoramic views include downtown LA, the coastline and Catalina Island. Long distance hikers resting at the overlook will feel tingling ocean breezes while savoring the sunset or gazing at the twinkling city lights.

A Star Is Born

In this unique activity, team players pool their resources for the group effort of creating and performing a filmed commercial. An energetic master-of-ceremonies (dressed as a Hollywood producer) will be on hand to get things off to a fun start and to help explain how the day’s events will materialize. Teams are instructed to choose a director, a prop-master, a wardrobe director and actors. Each team has been awarded a modest budget of $1,000,000 in play money, and must use this slender budget wisely, making sure to get the most for every dollar spent. Completed commercials are edited and then viewed by the group.

Mystery Hunt At Universal Citywalk

Universal CityWalk has over 200,000 square feet of unique shopping and dining and is situated atop a picturesque hill overlooking Los Angeles. Teams are equipped with a bag containing a Polaroid camera with film, a custom clue book, an instructional captain’s packet, a quiz sheet and a captain’s hat. Each team will start off by decoding questions in the clue book and find the secret locations. Teams journey throughout the designated area in CityWalk searching for secret locations, hidden bonus chips and commonly found treasures. Teams must prove that they have found the correct spots by snapping a team picture at the found location with the Polaroid camera provided. All the points are calculated to deem the first place team! An awards ceremony concludes the event with custom trophies awarded to each participant of the first place team.

Iron Chef Competition

This activity provides guests with an opportunity to compete as quasi chefs in a social, creative and teambuilding atmosphere. Teams have 45 minutes to complete their tasty concoctions. Teams also must create a team chef hat and a 2-minute long “Commercial” to sell their tasty delight. In addition, teams compete in a variety of quick challenge stations such as a Tortilla Toss to gain extra points. Judges are pre-selected to taste the final product. All the points are calculated to deem the first place team!

"Team PRA,
I can't thank you enough for all that you did for TriWest and the Medal of Honor Foundation recently! Our team has been so astounded and pleased with the support from each of you and the entire team that supported you. When we contracted with PRA, we knew up front that you would be dedicated, supportive, energizing and a quality group to work with. You exceeded our expectations! I've heard preliminary feedback that our company will be partnering ... again in the future, and you are our choice to work with for any and all DMC needs."

I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with this particular team. The conference was a success due largely to your efforts. As a meeting planner, I can only hope that I have an opportunity to bring more business to PRA."
The Dannon Company, Inc.

"I want to take this opportunity to recognize the fine services provided by your company for Assurity Life's Beverly Hills program. I am sure that you would agree that the logistics associated with this program were not the easiest to fulfill. However, your company's experience and recommendations were most valued and, without a doubt, contributed greatly to the success of this program."
Expanding Horizons

“Many thanks to you and your staff for making the TBWA Worldwide conference a huge success. It isn't always easy meeting the requests and demands of over 350 advertising executives from 75 countries and 258 worldwide cities, but PRA met the task. From soup to nuts, you and your team covered every detail for our memorable evening at the Playboy Mansion. They were a pleasure to know and a meeting planner's dream to work with.”
Creative Marketing Services

“We interviewed three DMCs in LA. PRA Los Angeles was right on the ball with their presentation. They said to me during the interview, "We will move into the hotel and be at your beck and call." That clinched it, I knew they understood what we were looking for. They gave 110% and surpassed all expectations. They were flawless, personable, and flexible. I would not even interview another DMC in LA, and would call PRA Los Angeles in a heartbeat.”
Classic Conferences Inc.

“I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your hard work and efforts in ensuring a successful meeting. I would like to acknowledge the outstanding service that you all provided in the planning and execution of our special events and guest programs. “I’m so impressed that you were able to keep up with our ever changing needs, our ever changing budgets, not to mention our ever changing moods throughout this process. You are all true professionals and I cannot wait for the opportunity to work with you again!”
Planning in Progress, Inc.

My event was absolutely breathtaking. The overall effect was so sophisticated and stylish. And we heard from many conventioneers about how amazing, fabulous, etc. it was. From my standpoint, it was, as always, a joy to work with all of you. At one point, when all the other aspects of our company's convention presence were taking up every spare second of my time, I thought how great it was not to worry or even think about this program. I knew it was 100% under control, and in the most capable hands possible. It's a blessing to find a team to trust with an event that had massive reputation implications my company and for me.”
GMAC-RFC

“The entire PRA staff was professional, courteous and created a 1st class event that was memorable for our customers. They made us feel as though we were their only clients, exceeding our expectations at every step in the process.”
