Let’s go surfin’ now…everybody’s learnin’ how! Today, guests can learn the official sport of southern California – surfing! Expert, top-ranked surfers will provide hands-on group training in the water. The experienced instructors supportively guide guests through the fundamentals of surfing. Coastal Bike Tour

Beautiful scenery, cool breezes, and the blue Pacific await your every move! Experience San Diego’s picturesque North County coastline on a bicycle, riding on the grounds where world class cyclists and triathletes tread. The journey continues north to the Oceanside Pier, the longest wooden pier on the West Coast. After taking in the views of Oceanside, the ride turns south returning through Carlsbad and finishing at Ponto Beach.

Biplane Adventure

Congratulations, you’re in for a fun filled aviation adventure in a 1920’s Open Cockpit Biplane. Guests will fly in a Travel Air Biplane which has been carefully restored to better than new condition. Two guests sit side by side in the front cockpit while the pilot flies from the rear. Wearing a helmet and goggles, guests will feel just like “The Red Baron”. A modern intercom allows conversation between passengers and the pilot. The sensation is just like riding in a convertible – but with a much better view. Get ready for a thrill in the wild blue yonder!

Geo Teaming

“Geo Teams” go on a high-tech treasure hunt throughout the Hotel or San Diego location. Each team is given GPS units that are pre-programmed with vital coordinates of the goals, called caches. Utilizing the GPS units and team skills, each team collaborates to find caches, which take the form of hidden boxes or team challenges. Participants enjoy the excitement of combining adventure with technology while building stronger connections with each other, improving communication skills, and developing specific methods for fine-tuning performance in the office.

Birch Aquarium At Scripps

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this facility presents undersea creatures in realistic habitats, and allows guests to experience the frontiers of marine science through interactive museum. The aquarium houses thirty-three tanks of various sizes and shapes which portray a variety of habitats, rocky reefs, coral reefs, mangroves and submarine canyons, and a myriad of animals ranging from the pretty, but venomous lionfish to the scary, but docile moray eel. Cocktails and tray passed hors d'oeuvres will be served on the terrace overlooking the La Jolla cliffs and the blue Pacific Ocean. A gourmet dinner is served inside the Galleria where décor compliments the colors of the sea.

Leopard Lounge

Welcome to the Leopard Lounge, a trendy lounge atmosphere created through the use of eclectic furniture pieces set into groupings. Slink over to a belly bar, stretch out on the leopard print chaise or hang out on the over-sized couches and easy chairs…they might get so comfortable that it’ll be hard to leave! These leopard print pieces present a look of classic 40’s style, revamped with hip modern flair. Soft feathery bamboo plants, rich wooden tables topped with exotic flowers, large throw pillows, and funky lamps complement each lounge setting. Rich amber uplighting creates a sense of inviting warmth and added dimension throughout the room.

An Evening At Orfila Winery

Located within the San Pasqual Valley, this 120-acre pristine urban reserve produces some of San Diego's finest wines. Among the varietals produced are Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc with recent awards for the unique Merlot. Orfila Winery is the site of the first vineyard in California, planted more than 200 years ago. Guests will enjoy a tasting of (2) wines along with tray passed hors d’oeuvres during the reception before entering the private canopy for dinner. Linens and fresh florals adorn the dining tables. A lively trio entertains guests throughout the evening.

Pacific Gems

Known to many as “The Jewel by the Sea”, La Jolla consists of rocky cliffs, sandy coves, palm trees, and brilliant flowers. The first stop is the Birch Aquarium at Scripps where 33 tanks display sea life in an aquarium built high atop the La Jolla hills with magnificent views of the Pacific. Next stop is "the village" of La Jolla where a delicious California-style lunch will be served at Azul La Jolla. After lunch, guests will enjoy exploring the special boutiques, galleries, or beach combing on their own at the famous La Jolla Cove.

Photo Safari At The Wild Animal Park

For a completely different zoological experience, guests will travel to the San Diego Wild Animal Park and “safari” with the animals. Guests will experience a once-in-a-lifetime “safari” on a Wild Animal Park Photo Caravan Tour. “Safari” trucks will take guests into the heart of the Park’s large animal enclosures, where they will have an up-close-and-personal look at the free-roaming animals of the African and Asia Plains.

The gentle rolling hills, boulder-strewn mountains, acres of citrus and avocado orchards, and incredible flower fields add to the region’s charm. Masterpieces Of La Jolla

The day begins at La Jolla Cove with an in depth look at the marine environment with noted California naturalist, Doug Thompson. On this private tour guests may explore one of the most beautiful and diverse meetings of land and sea in the world, right here in San Diego County. Next, guests will join Michael Jacques, one of Laguna Beach's foremost artists, for a presentation and a casual hands-on lesson in seascape painting. After instruction by Jacques, guests will paint their own work of art in either watercolor or acrylic paint. We provide the supplies, and the guests will let the artistic juices flow.

Vip Zoo Venture

Today, guests will enjoy a private Behind-the-Scenes tour, an extraordinary way to see the San Diego Zoo! Following the Behind-the-Scenes tour, guests can further explore the Zoo and visit new and innovative exhibits, trademarks of the San Diego Zoo. Recent additions and renovations to the Zoo include: the Giant Panda Research Station, Gorilla Tropics, Hippo Beach, Polar Bear Plunge, Scripps Aviary, Tiger River, and Sun Bear Forest.

A Carlsbad Afternoon

To begin the wonderful day in Carlsbad, the first stop is the Carlsbad Company Stores, a robust mix of top notch, designer name outlets and retail shops. Next is lunch at the Tuscany styled Bellefleur Winery & Restaurant. Guests will enjoy Bellefleur's ambience and gourmet lunch menu while surrounded by herbs and lavender in the intimate and leisurely Vineyard Grill. There is no better way to end the day than in the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. Blooming every March and April, the flower fields create a sea of vibrant spring flowers stretching as far as the eye can see.
