Position description:

PRA Destination Management is a full-service DMC working with clients for over 26 years nationally. Our employees are innovative, caring, ethical, creative, and dedicated professionals. We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Los Angeles Team. This position is responsible for planning and producing, with the National Sales Manager, a client’s program proposal within budget guidelines, client time expectations, and gross profit parameters to attain the annual sales gross profit goal.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate is a flexible team participant that has strong organizational skills, detail-orientated, excellent computer skills, and wants to be part of a successful team. The candidate must have a commitment to provide exceptional client service levels that are expected from our employees. The successful candidate we are seeking has previous industry work experience, with at least 2 years as an account manager for a DMC, hotel or related industry. A college degree, certificate or work experience in our industry is helpful. Must have strong mathematical skills. Very helpful to have a working knowledge of Los Angeles area venues and ability to locate new venues and supplier/partners. Must be willing to work some late hours when deadlines demand it.

Sales Assistant

Position description:

Assists the sales team in attaining the annual sales gross profit goals through proposal generation, program file generation, program costing and client correspondence.

Major Areas of Responsibility

1. Responsible for providing support to the Account Manager team.

2. Assists with program development including cost preparation, program proposals,
program summaries/deposit invoices, service agreements, and correspondence.

3. Input client and program data into Destination Manager, updating as necessary.

4. Assist with new program event content and descriptive text.

5. Assist with researching new products, locations, services, etc. for clients.

Our ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills and excellent customer service skills. Our successful candidate should have at least (1) year work experience in a DMC, incentive travel, event planning company, or related field, in an administrative capacity. Extensive computer knowledge is required including database, word processing (40 words per minute), spreadsheet development.

Ops Manager

Position description:

Responsible for the logistical management and operation of programs as contracted by the client.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Operations Manager

1. Responsible for logistical management and operation of contracted programs;

2. Ability to successfully manage multiple programs with various deadlines;

3. Ability to manage and direct tour guides and venue staff;

4. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends.

Our ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and want to be part of a successful team. The Operations Manager is an integral part of our Operations team, possessing superior client service skills, and exceptional program management skills. The successful candidate we are seeking has previous industry work experience, with at least 2 years as an operations manager for a DMC, meeting planner, event planner or related industry and must enjoy working in a team and goal-orientated environment. Must enjoy working with little direct supervision.

Must be familiar with San Diego County venues and live in the San Diego area. No relocation.

Marketing Coordinator

Position description:

Assist the Core Four National Sales Managers and Sales Project Manager with sales and marketing projects, including sales trips, trade shows, FAMs, and hotel presentations.

Major Areas of Responsibility

1. Assist the National Sales Managers (Core Four) with projects such as sales trip preparations, sales blitzes, and post-sales trip contacts.

2. Develop marketing tools.

3. Responsible for researching new and unique resources for client and room gift purchases, tracking all invoices and expenses against budget.

4. Manages room gift inventory and reconciles monthly purchase statements for Accounting.

5. Coordinate press releases for the Sales Team with Sales Project Manager.

6. Manage NSM weekly sales meetings – organize meeting, agenda and take follow up notes – send reminders as needed.

Our ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, and exceptional communication skills. Our successful candidate should have at least (2) years of office manager and/or marketing assistant experience in hospitality field or related field. Must be able to work on several complex projects with multiple deadlines at one time. Extensive computer knowledge is required including database, word processing (40 words per minute), spreadsheet development. Must be able to work as part of a team or independently without supervision.
